Program overview
Science category requirements checklist. Applicants must submit a work in a specific science domain. Projects involving human subjects or live vertebrates are not eligible; certain live invertebrates and tissue-related projects are eligible with documentation. Required components include a formal research report with bibliography, a visual model, computer code if involved, two nominator forms, Process Essay, Significance and Benefit to Society Essay, and a maximum 10-minute video. Eligibility
Applicants must submit a work in a specific domain area of science. Projects involving human subjects or live vertebrates are not eligible. Certain live invertebrates (C. elegans, Drosophila, Hydra, Mosquitoes) and zebrafish no older than 168 hours post-fertilization are eligible. Tissue-related projects are eligible only with specified documentation and IRB/SRC approval. Two nominators required; family members/relatives may not serve as nominators.
