High school students interested in biomedical science, medicine, physiology, genetics, microbiology, public health, and hands-on laboratory/healthcare careers; rising 9th and 10th graders in participating PWCS schools.
Eligibility
C average or higher in all core subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies) for entry; applicants must have a C or better in all classes to qualify. Students must maintain a C average or higher in all core subjects and complete all four PLTW Biomedical courses with a C or better by graduation. · Open to rising 9th and 10th grade students who attend one of these PWCS schools: Colgan HS, Forest Park HS, Freedom HS, Gar-Field HS, Hylton HS, Osbourn Park HS, Potomac HS, Woodbridge HS. Transfer program; express bus transportation available to accepted students living outside program location boundaries.
