Program overview
High school students entering grades 11-12 interested in molecular biology, bioinformatics, and biotechnology research.
Eligibility
Must be 16 years or older by start of workshop; entering grades 11-12 in Fall 2026; cumulative GPA 3.3 or higher; science GPA 3.5 or higher; attend a Northern California high school (public, charter, private, or homeschool); completed Biology and Chemistry or Integrated Science Series I and II; meet NDAA Section 3112 access requirements. · Students 18 at start must be U.S. citizens. All participants must be eligible to access LLNL per NDAA Section 3112, which generally prohibits citizens of China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea without dual U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residence. · Must attend a Northern California high school (public, charter, private, or homeschool).
