Program overview
Teens ages 13-17 interested in animals, wildlife conservation, environmental education, zoo careers, outdoor adventure, and leadership; first-year and returning participants.
Eligibility
Must be 13 at start of program (June 3) and no older than 17 during summer; 18th birthday cannot fall before or during participating weeks. All first-year teens must complete summer Zoo Crew Explorer program to participate year round. Returning Zoo Crew must be in good standing for Teen Leadership Council. Junior Zookeeper age requirements and schedule depend on animal section. Galápagos applicants must be 15 by July 6, 2019.
