- Free of charge; all program-related costs are covered by individuals, foundations, corporations, and MIT. Students only pay for transportation to and from MIT.

- Six weeks (late June–early August). Approximately 7 hours per weekday in classes and planned activities; average 6 hours per weekday and 4–6 hours per weekend day on homework.
