Current 10th and 11th grade students in the Seattle area who are interested in biology laboratory research and want a first research experience
Eligibility
Must be a current 10th grade (rising junior) or current 11th grade (rising senior) student; strong interest in biology, biochemistry, microbiology, public health, or a related scientific field; able to reside within commuting distance of downtown Seattle for the program duration; must have an SSN or ITIN to receive the stipend. Prior knowledge of the fields and prior formal research experience are not required. · No citizenship requirement stated; students must have an SSN or ITIN to participate because the stipend is reportable income · Must be able to reside within commuting distance of downtown Seattle for the duration of the program; housing is not provided or arranged
