University Interscholastic League (UIL)
Program overview
UIL Robotics is a state-level robotics competition with three divisions: BEST, FIRST, and RECF. Schools must register a team with one of these organizations, compete in their qualifier meets, and advance to the UIL state championship based on performance. UIL Robotics began as a pilot in 2015-2016 and became official in 2018-2019. The 2026-2027 dates and locations are coming soon.
